LAHORE, May 7: The PCB chief, Dr Nasim Ashraf has clarified that the recently introduced service rules in the PCB is an attempt to bring in proper corporate culture to the organisation.

Clarifying a news item published in Dawn on Sunday, he said though all the employees had been offered fresh appointment letters, they pretty much enjoyed a regular status since they were being extended several benefits and facilities besides their salaries.

Director Media, Dr Ahsan Hameed Malik, later said that though all the employees were not permanent, they were still in regular service. Under the new service rules, he said, all the employees would complete a three-month probationary period and their performances will be reviewed constantly. He added that PCB will not be hiring any daily wages employees anymore.
