Budget coordinators

ISLAMABAD, May 3: The Central Board of Revenue (CBR) has appointed six coordinators and deputy coordinators for the budget 2007-08.

An official announcement issued here on Thursday by CBR said Muhammad Anwar Goraya and Rashid Ahmed have been appointed as coordinators for direct taxes and customs; Aftab Ahmed as deputy coordinator income tax; Aamir Amin Bhatti, deputy coordinator sales tax and federal excise duty; Imtiaz Ahmed Shaikh, deputy coordinator customs and Raza Ashfaq Shaikh as assistant coordinator for sale tax and federal excise.

All the taxation proposals for the upcoming budget will be sent to these coordinators and deputy coordinators for consideration in the budget.
