KARACHI, May 2: Five ships carrying rock phosphate, containers and to load naphtha are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources.
Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where a dozen vessels were berthed during the last two days, notable among them being Victory-1, Cosco Shekou, Pan Voyager, Nefto Cement to load cement, J. Friend, Danica Four and MS Simon.
Sailing was also active as 11 ships departed, including Iran Hesabi, Oel Esteem, Mol Admiration, Cosco Shekou, Kama Bhum, Victory-1, Comorin Pride, Sea Princess, Nodtide and Iver Progress.
A total tonnage of 0.184m tons comprising 58,516 tons of export tonnage, including 8,091 tons of cement and 0.126m tons of import cargo was handled.
The following ships are due on Thursday: Tarpon Samtiago, with rock phosphate, Beluga Fascination, with general cargo, Petepaul, to load naphtha, Kota Hales, and Y.M. Faha, with containers.
