PWF for safer workplace

Published April 29, 2007

LAHORE, April 28: The Pakistan Workers Federation (PWF) has demanded that at least two per cent income of industry be spent on ensuring safe and healthy environment for workers at the workplace.

Voicing the demand at a meeting held in connection with the World Day for Safety and Health at Work, held here on Saturday, Federation Secretary-General Khurshid Ahmed said expenditure on health and safety of workers was a sort of investment as healthy labour not only helped ensure increase in production but also improved product quality.— Reporter
