GUJRANWALA, April 28: The row between the district administration and the nazim over administrative control is still going on while the latter sent a memorandum to the former for setting the matter right in accordance with law, it is learnt here on Saturday.

A source said city district nazim Fiaz Ahmad Chattha had asked DCO through a memorandum in January to abolish the offices of regional transport authority (RTA) secretary and general bus stand administrator and place the transport department under the control of city district government. He also suggested that all income of general bus stand should be deposited in the account of district government as prescribed in the local government law.

But the former abolished the office of RTA secretary and appointed him (secretary) as DO (transport). But the office of general bus stand administrator was not abolished while all income of the bus stand was still being deposited in a separate account. The district nazim declared it illegal and sent a memorandum to the DCO to implement the local government laws “in letter and spirit.”

ARRESTED: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested on Saturday two human agents. FIA officials raided the residences of Aslam and Mustafa wanted for human smuggling cases and arrested them.
