DERA GHAZI KHAN, April 27: The ongoing recruitment process of constables in Punjab police in Rajanpur district was criticised by MNAs Jaafar Leghari and Ameena Jaafar Leghari on Friday.
They held a press conference in Jampur, some 45 kilometres from here and said recruitments of 850 constables was being made in violation of merit.
They claimed that recruitments were being made to please one of the cronies of the chief minister.
They alleged that residents from Faisalabad were being recruited in violation of policy.
The demanded an inquiry into the whole process besides cancellation of recruitments.
MEDICAL CAMP: A one-day free medical camp for patients suffering from mental ailment was held in Jampur on Friday under the auspices of an NGO, Gul-i-Fatima.
Eminent psychiatrists, including head of department of Fatima Jinnah Medical College, Lahore, attended the camp. MNAs Jaafar Leghari and Ameena Leghari inaugurated the camp.
