KARACHI, April 26: Three ships carrying base oil, containers and to load cement are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was on the higher side where eight ships, Dominator to load rice, Sea Princess and Aboudi to load cement, Shalamar to offload crude oil, Hyundai Stride, Y.M. Star, Hayley Nadhi and Global Prince to unload and load containers were berthed.

Five ships, Swat, Harmony, Haje Khereh, Caribbean Carrier, Chi Feng Kuo and APL Sokhna departed on Thursday, while Nazmi-G, Song Shan, Corin Thaikos and Shalamar are due to sail out on Friday.

Owing to higher handling of liquid tonnage total rose to 0.117m tons comprising 23,891 tons of export cargo, notably rice and cement and 92,700 tons of import tonnage, which also included 55,000 tons of liquid cargo.

The following ships are due on Friday: Aqaba Express to load 6,000 tons of cement, Raya with base oil and Iran Tabatabaei with containers.
