TIMERGARA, April 25: Two hair-cutting salons were blown up and four adjacent shops damaged when two bombs went off in a market in Kumbar, the native village of Maulana Sufi Mohammad, leader of the banned Tehrik Nefaz-i-Shariat Muhammadi, in Maidan area on Tuesday night.

Witnesses and officials said the blasts in the Ahmad Market blew up the salons of Bacha Rahim and Karim.

In Upper Dir district, a salon and a music shop had been blown up in the Wari Bazaar on Monday night.

Traders and shopkeepers in Wari took out a procession in protest against the worsening law and order situation in the area and declared the blasts a terrorist activity.

The barbers and music shop owners in Upper and Lower Dir had received threatening letters in March.
