Woman killed, four children hurt by rivals

GUJRANWALA, April 23: A councillor’s wife was killed and four children injured in firing by rivals in Usman Colony here on Monday night.

Reports said Usman Tariq, Iqbal, Yaseen and two accomplices opened fire on the house of councillor Habib Akhtar Ansari, killing his wife Rasheeda Bibi and injuring four children. An area shopkeeper, Arshad, was also injured in the firing.

The injured people were taken to hospital from where Arshad was shifted to Lahore due to his critical condition.
