SIALKOT, April 23: Death toll in Pasrur hospital gas explosion incident rose to four as a female sanitary worker, Balqis Bibi, succumbed to her injuries here on Monday.

A week ago, three people, including two paramedics, were killed and eight patients sustained injuries in a gas leak explosion at Pasrur THQ civil hospital.

On Saturday, the Punjab government had transferred Sialkot executive district officer (health) Dr Umer Javaid to Lahore and posted Dr Muhammad Ali Malik as EDO in his place.

The supply of Sui gas to the hospital remained suspended for the third consecutive day on Monday as the hospital management could not get 80 leakage points repaired.
