Noor lands Midas Cup

The filly from the deceased sire, Cisco Wells out-of-No Lunch, Noor, led under the superb ride of Ali Raza in the straight. She beat favourite colt Headingley by half-a-length.

Wendy Trace and Royal Fish completed the frame among six runners.

Bay filly Lovely Gate displayed a performance of high caliber to win the supporting and fifth event. She beat Desert Queen by two lengths.

Jockey Shahid Rehman was the most successful jockey of the first day/night race meeting by bringing home three winners – Zoaq, Sim Jiml and Lovely Gate.

Owner Javed Khalid and trainer I. Nawab shared a good double through Honey Gal and Lovely Gate, winning the second and fifth race.

Trainer Abdul Rasheed also sent out two winners – Zoaq and Noor.

Three firm favourites – Zoaq, Honey Gal and Lovely Gate obliged the punters.
