LAKKI MARWAT, April 22: A constable was killed and an Station House Officer was injured in a shootout between police and an outlaw in Shamoni Khattak village in the Dadiwala police area on Sunday.

Officials said a police team led by Dadiwala Station House Officer Sadullah Khan conducted a raid on the village and besieged the house of one Gul Rasool where proclaimed absconder Nazameer had taken shelter.

They said when police reached the place, the outlaw wanted in murder and attempt to murder cases opened fire on them.

As a result, police constable Sadullah was killed on the spot and SHO Sadullah was injured.

The injured police official was taken to the Serai Naurang civil hospital from where he was shifted to Bannu.
