4 shot dead near Tando Allahyar

HYDERABAD, April 21: Four villagers were gunned down by gunmen in the Darya Khan Masrook village, 10 kilometres away from Tando Allahyar late on Friday.

The victims were identified as Mohammad Siddique, Nim Masrook, Anwar Masrook and their guest, Ameen Qadir Khaskheli.

The assailants escaped from the scene after committing the crime. After hearing gunshots residents of the area rushed to the spot and shifted the bodies to the civil hospital of Tando Allahyar.

The body of Khaskheli was shifted to his native town Badin.

The motive behind the killing is said to an old enmity.

Akbar, son of the deceased Nim Masrook, who was present on the spot, has lodged a case with the Tando Allahyar police vide FIR no 65/07 under sections 302, 147, 148, 149, 109 of the PPC against 11 persons.

He said that the assailants were their relatives and had not been on good terms with them for past seven to eight years. He identified the attackers as Nabi Bux, Idrees, Hussain, Ali, Attaullah, Habib, More, Umer, Soomar, Anwar and Ismail, all Masrook by caste.

He said the assailants lined up the villagers at the Autaq of Mohammad Siddique and sprayed them with bullets.
