PESHAWAR, April 18: NWFP Minister for Local Government and Rural Development Sardar Mohammad Idrees has said that the provincial government is endeavouring for enforcement of sharia and supremacy of law and justice.
Talking to delegations from different parts of the province here on Wednesday, he claimed that the NWFP government had ensured better facilities in the fields of education, health, water supply, communications and agriculture as well as provided relief to the poor and jobless.
He said funds had been released for providing electricity, natural gas and other facilities to the remote and neglected parts of the province despite financial hardships.
The minister assured the delegations of solution of the problems pointed out by them and issued directives on some complaints.
The delegations were led by Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam leader Maulana Abdul Jalil Jan, Havelian Tehsil Nazim Mehmood Hayat Abbasi and other leaders and elected representatives.—APP
