Farzana dismisses deal reports

LAHORE, April 17: Punjab PPP Information Secretary Farzana Raja has dismissed reports of deal between her party and the government.

In a press statement on Tuesday, she said all reports about a deal were nothing more than a “disinformation campaign”.

“There will be no compromise on democracy; the PPP has never struck a deal with any government for power and will never go for a compromise on principles,” she said.

She said: “Generals come and go, but the PPP will always remain a symbol of progressive democratic forces.”

She said Pakistan was facing multiple crises and transparent election under an independent election commission and the free judiciary was the right way to steer the country out.
