ISLAMABAD, April 16: The Bowling Action Committee of Pakistan Cricket Board on Monday cleared five bowlers, all spinners, to play in the domestic cricket season. In a meeting, the PCB Bowling Action Committee (BAC) discussed the analysis reports of five bowlers whose bowling action was previously found to be suspect.

These bowlers had been doing 10 weeks remedial workout at National Cricket Academy. “As all five individuals have improved their bowling actions and analysis reports showed their elbow extension within the tolerance level set by International Cricket Council (ICC), BAC has given the verdict of their actions being legal,” a PCB media release said. “Therefore, the said bowlers have been allowed to bowl during domestic competitions.”

The bowlers whose bowling actions have been cleared by the BAC are Asif Mumtaz (Rawalpindi), Aqeel Ahmed (Faisalabad), Misbah Khan (Karachi), Irfanuddin (Karachi) and Mudassar Manzoor (Mirpurkhas).—APP
