Karachi duo win pair’s event

LAHORE, April 15: Rashidul Ghazi and Tehsin Gheewala from Karachi obtained 1250 Match Points to win the pair's event of the 11th Balijee International bridge championship at Lahore Gymkhana on Sunday.

Rashid and Tehsin had a close contest against Indian pair of Subhash Gupta-B Satayanaarayana, who remained runners-up with an aggregate of 1159 MPs.

Another pair from Pakistan Saeed Akhtar-Javed Khaled (Islamabad) with 1131 MPs seized third position.

Kunti Thakur-Mrs Bindra of India scored 1047 to win the ladies' pair.
