LAHORE, April 14: Punjab PML-N secretary-general Raja Ashfaq Sarwar alleged on Saturday that the Punjab government was creating hurdles to prevent the party from holding a public meeting at the same venue in Taxila where the president had addressed one a few days ago.

At a news conference here, he said PML-N supporters were being arrested and transporters harassed by the government so that they could not bring people to the meeting venue.

The public meeting is due to be held on Sunday.

The PML-N leader said his party would hold the public meeting even if it had to hold it on a road.

Mr Sarwar said the exiled PML-N leaders would come back to Pakistan before the next elections.

Dr Ashraf Asad, Mian Marghoob and Chaudhry Abdul Ghafoor were present at the news conference.
