KARACHI: Irrigation projects

KARACHI, April 14: Sindh Irrigation Minister Nadir Akmal Leghari on Saturday directed the authorities concerned for expediting pace of work on all uplift works executed in the province under the Annual Development Programme and PSDP.

He issued the directive while chairing a meeting at his office, which was called to reviewed pace of work on ongoing uplift works. The meeting reviewed the progress of works under Annual Development Programme, de-silting of channels and PSDP.

The chief engineers briefed the meeting about their respective regions and said the progress on works was satisfactory.

Nadir Akmal Leghari appreciated the efforts made by the department officials. However, he asked them to accelerate the pace of development works, especially those executed under the ADP and PSDP, so that targets could be achieved before closure of the current fiscal year.—PPI
