HYDERABAD, April 12: The Sindh Taraqqi-Pasand Party Chairman Dr Qadir Magsi on Thursday demanded equal rights for all the federating units, complete provincial autonomy and the provinces’ right over natural resources.

Speaking to party workers at the Taraqqi-Pasand House Mr Magsi termed the government’s proposals for provincial autonomy as ‘farce’ and said that the oppressed nations would no more accept any lollypop that came from the government.

He said that the rulers were engaged in a psychological war with the oppressed people and lacked sincerity for solving their basic problems. Their efforts were aimed at perpetuating their rule, he said.

Mr Magsi said that the fundamental problem facing the country today was preservation of national identity of federating units and provincial autonomy.

The state had kept the federating units deprived of their rights and it was at the root of crisis the country was afflicted with today, he said.

The oppressed people had fully awakened now and would never accept slavery, he said.
