Couple die in road accident

GUJAR KHAN, April 12: A couple died in road accident at Mandra-Chakwal road in the jurisdiction of Jatli police station on Thursday, police said. Mohammad Nazeer, along with his wife Surryia Begum , was coming from Tarakwal village to Dhudial when his motorbike (KAB- 5252) was hit by a Rawalpindi-bound van (RIR-8475). Consequently both died on the spot. Driver of the van fled from the spot after leaving the vehicle parked there, which was taken into custody. The motorbike was completely destroyed, however, the passengers boarding the van remained unhurt. Jatli police have registered a case.
