KARACHI, April 11: Pakistan Navy maintained their stronghold in the shooting competition by adding five more golds to the tally on the fourth day at Naval Shooting Range on Wednesday.

Nazish Khan and Urooj Khan won the individual gold and silver for Navy respectively besides clinching the prone Rifle team event also. Mehwish Khan of Navy later won the Air Pistol individual event although Army’s sharp shooters snatched the team gold in the same event.

Maqbool Tabbasum, who won a record five gold medals in South Asian Games in Colombo last year, won the rapid fire pistol individual event and gold for Navy in team competition.

Maqbool collected 747.5/809 points to set the new mark as per the new system of National Rifle Association of Pakistan.—APP
