KARACHI, April 11: Pakistan Army, WAPDA, Punjab and Sindh secured semifinal berths in the National Games Football Championship at Peoples Sports Complex, Mauripur Road on Wednesday.

Striker Farooq Shah and Muhammad Musa performed treble and Naseer struck twice as Sindh thrashed NWFP 8-1 in group “A” encounter. Asim Faiz and Shakir Lashari scored the other two goals. Khurshid scored the lone goal for frontier team.

In group “B” Punjab 1 defeated Balochistan 1-0. Ehsan smashed in third minute of the first session.

In the semifinals on Thursday, Army will take on Punjab at and Wapda will face Sindh.—APP
