KARACHI, April 11: Three ships to load containers and cement were berthed at QICT and MPT during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Wednesday. Meanwhile, another ship carrying canola seeds also arrived at the outer anchorage. Berth occupancy rose to 80pc as nine ships, Don Giovaanni, Sima Paya, Nedlloyed Europe, Berenice, Fifi Queen, Aleslevada, Pacificaor, Stella and Carl Masem, were busy in loading and unloading containers, cement, seeds, crude oil, furnace oil and coal.

A cargo volume of 97,206 tons comprising 76,313 tons of import and 20,893 tons of export tonnage was handled. Sailings were active as Don Giovanni, Sima Paya, Pacificator, Stella and Carl Masem left the port.
