BANNU, April 10: Two children were wounded in a rocket attack on a residential area in Bannu city on Monday night, police said.

Officials said that two rockets were fired from an unknown location which hit the house of one Mohammad Ashfaq in the Kastuddin Street. The explosion partially damaged the house and wounded two children.

Later, the children were shifted to a hospital.

District Police Officer Dr Mazharul Haq confirmed the rocket attack. He said that no arrest had been made.

The DPO said that police had seized seven rocket launchers, four bombs and ammunition from a truck on Tuesday.

Miscreants fired rockets on the house of a retired security officer in the Niag Banda region of the Bajaur Agency on Monday night, our correspondent adds from Bajaur Agency.

Miscreants fired rockets at the residence of Habib Rasool as a result of which a portion of his compound was damaged.

Another rocket landed in a nearby field. There was no casualty.
