NAWABSHAH, April 10: Dozens of people from Allah Jurio Rind village of Daulatpur taluka staged a demonstration outside the local press club on Tuesday against police for refusing to register an FIR about kidnap of two persons from their village.

A villager Mohammad Moosa Rind charged that an influential landlord of their area had kidnapped Ameen Rind and Aslam Rind at gunpoint. When they approached police they refused to register FIR, they said and accused police of supporting criminals.

They demanded that the Sindh chief minister and PPO should direct the police to register FIR and arrest the kidnappers.

HEARING ADJOURNED: District and sessions judge on Tuesday adjourned the hearing of Rasool Bux Brohi murder case till May 7.

Line officer submitted an application to the court stating that police could bring the accused from Karachi because of their preoccupation in maintenance of law and order.

The judge adjourned the hearing till May 7. He also adjourned the hearing on bail applications of suspended SP of Lyari Task Force Chaudhry Aslam, Ishaque Lashari, Asif Jameel and others till April 17 and 18.
