ISLAMABAD, April 9: Pakistan and India on Monday signed a memorandum of understanding for running the Samjhota Express between Lahore and New Dehli for a period of three more years.
Indian Railways Traffic Advisor S. R. Thakur and Pakistan Railways additional general-manager S. Gul Riaz Hashmi inked the MoU.
Railways Minister Sheikh Rashid and Indian Deputy High Commissioner to Pakistan Manpreet Dher were present on the occasion.
Sheikh Rashid said that two more bogies would be attached with Samjhota and Thar Express.
The minister demanded that India should share the investigation of Samjhota Express carnage with Pakistan.—Online
