6 of a family among 8 die in accident

KHAIRPUR, Feb 25: Eight people, including six of a family were killed and four others injured in a head-on collision between a car and a jeep near the Shah Latif University, here on Sunday.

The deceased were identified as Lal Bukhsh Chandio, councillor of Tajal Bahauddin union council, Ishaque Chandio, his mother, Inayatan, Rab Nawaz, Fatima, wife of Wahid Dino Chandio, councillor of Mohabbat union council, Gul Hasan Gopang, jeep driver Mohammad Sharif Gopang and the wife of Deen Mohammad Chandio.

Those injured were: Ghulam Mustafa, Haji Khan, Ali Hasan, and Naib Ali Chandio, 5.

Sharif Gopang was taken to a local hospital in injured condition but as the staff was on Eid holiday he could not be given proper treatment.
