ECO moot begins today

ISLAMABAD, April 9: Federal Minister for Privatisation and Investment Zahid Hamid on Saturday said that a three-day ECO moot on privatisation was being held from Tuesday.

While briefing the newsmen, the minister said that the conference would be attended by more than 30 delegates from 10 member countries including Pakistan.

Giving the details, he said that the First Meeting of High Level Experts Group (HLEG) on Privatisation and Private Sector Development would have two sessions.

In the inaugural session, a presentation would be made by the ECO Secretariat on ECO Cooperation in the field of privatisation and private sector development.

Experts from Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan would make country-specific presentations.—APP
