KARACHI, April 7: Over a dozen vessels carrying cars, general cargo and to load naphtha are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Sunday, according to KPT sources.

But on the other hand berthing activity at the wharves was on the lower side as only two container vessels, Wan Hai-311 and Kuo Chang were berthed after the departure of three.The ships, which departed included APL Dalian, Johar and Hozan Maru, while Kuo Chang, Rising One, Wan Hai-311 and Victoria are due to sail out on Sunday.

A total tonnage of 40,577 tons comprising 20,345 tons of export tonnage including 3,977 tons of rice, 4,606 tons of cement and 4,024 tons of clinker was handled.

The following ships are due on Sunday: Stolt Ami and Chemstar Brave with chemicals, B.W Captain to load naphtha, Kama Bhum, Cosco Lian Yun, CMA CGM Simba, Oel Esteem, Nyzdan, Oel Aishwarya, Pace Antlia and Comorin Pride with containers, Haje Khereh and Grand Venus with 1,136 cars.

Global Prosperity with containers is due on Monday.
