NAWABSHAH, April 6: Family members of kidnapped Hindu businessman have demanded of the President, Prime Minister, Chief Justice, Chief Minister and Governor of Sindh to direct the police to speed up their efforts for his immediate recovery.

Ashok Kumar, a Hindu businessman was kidnapped along with his friend Saleem Solangi, from Khadar Road while returning to Sakrand after closing their business at Wer Stop few days back. Haresh Kumar and Dr Kewal Ram, brothers of Ashok, said the local police were not making sincere efforts for their recovery.

They further said the DPO, Dr Ghulam Sarwar Jamali and the SP of Investigation Syed Ghayasuddin Rashidi were only extending assurances.

They said they were a minority community and could only go up to a certain distance after which they depend on police. They further said no family member had received any phone call or message from the kidnappers for ransom as yet. They said that they were white-collared people and unable to pay ransom.

When contacted, the SP of Investigation, Syed Ghayasuddin Rashidi, said the police were searching for the kidnappers.
