MULTAN, April 5: Two candidates moved the Lahore High Court, Multan bench, against the chief traffic officer, Multan range, for not issuing their appointment letters as traffic warden here on Thursday. Reports said that Irfan Mehmood of Nawan Shahr and Muhammad Khalid Mehmood of Kot Mela Ram moved the court through their lawyer Muhammad Ejaz Toor against the Multan range traffic police DIG.

They submitted that they had passed their written, physical and medical tests for the traffic warden post. They said the range DIG (traffic) had issued letters to them on Jan 18 to join the post which they accepted.

They further said that they had passed their medical tests on Feb 7, but still they did not receive their appointment letters while rest of the candidates got their appointment letters.

The court admitted their petition and the hearing would start from Friday (today).
