Constable killed in encounter

SHEIKHUPURA, April 5: A police constable was killed in an encounter with drug traffickers while an accused suffered injuries here on Thursday in Mustafabad locality. Reports said Ferozewala police received information that four drug pushers were present in Mustafabad. Constable Iftikhar was sent in civvies towards their den. On seeing him, the accused shot him dead. During a shootout, Iqbal suffered injuries and the police arrested him while four others, including Zafar, Tariq, Faisal and Ghulam Dastgir managed their escape.
