KARACHI, April 5: The State Bank on Thursday issued consolidated instructions on policy framework for banks and DFIs. The SBP issued a detail circular on the subject saying that in order to facilitate banks and DFIs and to ensure compliance of regulatory requirements, it had been decided to issue consolidated instructions on policy framework.

The objective of this exercise is to ensure that banks and DFIs have policies in various areas that are synchronised and have uniformity according to varied nature of their respective operations, the circular said.

The SBP advised the banks and DFIs to formulate policies in the areas mentioned to them as a minimum, and ensure their regular updating.
