HYDERABAD, April 4: In continuation of their protest campaign against presidential reference against Chief Justice of Pakistan lawyers boycotted courts for an hour in many districts of the province on Wednesday.

In Hyderabad, over a dozen lawyers observed token hunger strike outside the judicial complex and boycotted court proceedings for an hour.

THATTA: The members of District Bar Association boycotted court proceedings for two hours and demanded reinstatement of CJP.

NAWABSHAH: Lawyers continued boycott of courts and observed token hunger strike outside sessions’ court.

JACOBABAD: DBA members observed token hunger strike outside the bar office and boycotted court proceedings for an hour.

KHAIRPUR: Lawyers boycotted courts proceedings and more than a dozen lawyers led by DBA President Shafqat Mahessar staged a demonstration outside the sessions’ court.

DADU: Women activists of Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf staged a rally in protest against the president’s action Justice Iftikhar.

Led by district president of tehrik’s women wing Ms Soghat Shah the rally marched on main roads of the city before terminating in a demonstration outside the press club.

They demanded reinstatement of CJP and withdrawal of reference against him.
