KARACHI, April 4: Six ships to load and offload containers, wheat, carbon oil and diesel oil were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, seven more ships to load and offload containers, rice, canola seeds, edible oil, diesel oil and LPG also arrived at the outer anchorage. Berth occupancy was maintained at 80 per cent at the wharves.

A record cargo volume of 0.111 million tons comprising 0.083m tons of import and 0.028m tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailing was active as Afamia, Oriental Miho and Yanaseni left the port while Nedlloyed Africa, Gothern Burg Express and Yick Zao were due to depart.
