LAHORE, April 3: Five-year-old mare, Miss Photogenic, looks hot to overcome Julia Robert and Speed Demon to win the feature event during the midweek Lahore Gymkhana races at the Racecourse on Wednesday.

The feature event, Rawalpindi Plate Class-V Division-I and II, will go over sprinting distance of 1000 metres. It has eight acceptors barring last-minute withdrawal.

On classification, Miss Photogenic, Julia Robert and Speed Demon are expected to fight for the top honour.

The supporting and fourth event, a class-V division-II handicap race has eight contenders, if there are no last-minute withdrawals. All the runners have no outstanding performance to be tipped as favourite. This makes it an open affair.

However, in whatever form they are at present, only three of them come into reckoning. They are: Royal King, Shim Jim and Jewna. Royal King has the advantage on handicap.

Three-year-old dark-bay colt, Salman Prince, looks a cut above in class vis-à-vis his six rivals in the third race. This is a class-VII division-I handicap race. Bosra Sham and Fearless Boy are other strong contenders.

The second race comprises eleven runners barring last-minute withdrawals. Faryal, Blu's Wendy and First Passion look good to fight for the top honours.

The opener has the biggest field of a dozen acceptors. Of them Wendy, Dashing Paradise and Company are on chance. A good rider in the saddle will matter the most.

A card of five races, all to be gone over 1000 metres, will be decided on Wednesday. The first race will be held at 3pm.
