SANGHAR, April 3: A man poisoned his wife to death and was caught red-handed near Kandiari late on Monday night while carrying her body to Mithrao canal to throw it into water.

Reports reaching here said that Ramzan Mari forced his 20-year-old wife Nazli to drink pesticides and took her body to Mithrao canal after she died. But the moment he stepped outside late at night he was chased by barking dogs, which awakened the villagers and he was caught.

Villagers handed him over to police.

Late Nazli’s father Jaro Khan Mari told police that his son-in-law had forced his daughter to drink the pesticide.
