Policemen penalised

THE Rahim Yar Khan city DSP and three policemen were penalized on Monday due to the custodial death of a union council nazim. Fakhar Mahmood Akbar Kanju, a supporter of Makhdoom Ahmad Mahmood, reportedly died of police torture. He was among several people arrested from the district to thwart the PML-F rally.

RY Khan city DSP Irshad Gulab was made OSD and summoned to Lahore by the IGP while SHO Irfan Akbar and two constables were suspended by the DPO, reports our RYK correspondent.
