LAHORE, March 31: Sajjad Khan of Islamabad with two-day aggregate score of 136 emerged as the second day leader in the 10th Faysal Bank Open golf championship at the Lahore Gymkhana on Saturday.
Sajjad, who had posted a card of three-under-par-69 on the first day, entered an identical card to lead the professional event.
Sajjad had used his golfing hands to claim a car through his hole in one shot on the par-3, 17th hole on Friday.
He will face tough challenge posed by Abbas Ali and Latif Masih, who look almost equally well placed with barely a single stroke margin as difference.
Abbas Ali played composed golf and except for a slip on the fourth hole, which he bogied, the performance was phenomenal. Birdies were scored on holes 3rd, 7th, 10th, 11th, 16th and 17th and his two rounds scores of 70 and 67 gave him an aggregate of 137, seven-under-par.
Latif Masih had a bogey-free round and birdied seven holes, three in succession, the 5th, 6th and 7th and on the back nine he birdied 11th, 14th and 16th.
M. Safdar (Gujranwala) appears at the top in the amateur section with two day aggregate score of 138 (70, 68). His second round was stocked with five classy birdies.
