Published March 31, 2007

KARACHI, March 30: Sindh Governor Dr Ishrat-ul-Ibad has issued directives for foolproof security arrangements throughout the province on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (Pbuh).

Steps taken in this regard were reviewed in a meeting chaired by the governor here on Friday.

He emphasised that full attention should be paid on ensuring security from all angles on the occasion of Eid Milad. He stressed upon maintaining strict vigil at the city’s entry and exit points.

The meeting was informed about security steps at Nishtar Park, besides procession routes. Arrangements would be ensured for installation of cameras, establishment of control room and aerial surveillance.—APP
