LAHORE, March 29: PML’s women, youth, students and all other wings have been directed to arrange party conventions in all districts of the province. The party’s provincial leadership issued instructions in this regard, said media committee chairman and Punjab PML deputy secretary information Imran Riaz while talking to newsmen at the Muslim League House here on Thursday.

He said the party membership at the union council and ward level would be completed well before announcement of the election schedule.

Provincial ministers would hold open courts and present reports to the chief minister regarding public complaints and steps for their redressal, he said.

The PML, he said, was busy preparing for the next general elections as per instructions of its leadership and hoped the party would succeed on the basis of its performance.

He said the people of Punjab would reject those politicians who believed in negative politics.

Mr Riaz said the democratic culture in the country had strengthened and the assemblies would complete their tenure.

He said the two political parties, which plundered national wealth during their tenures, were spending lavishly to disrupt the democratic process.—APP
