KARACHI, Feb 25: WWF-Pakistan plans to hold Nature Carnival 2002 at the PAF Museum on March 3, with over 30 leading academic institutions of Karachi participating in the day-long event.

A WWF-Pakistan press release issued here on Monday said the programme involved the participation of educational institutions as the primary activity was a nature exhibition on environmental themes allocated on class and age basis.

Keeping with the mood and festivity of last year’s carnival, Nature Carnival 2002 was said to include various fun activities as a colourful fun-fair, lucky draws, entertaining puppet shows, a lively musical performance and informative customized games designed to educate and create awareness on environmental issues.

Citing the Nature Carnival a combination of education and entertainment, the event was stated to help the Worldwide Fund for Nature interact with the public at a mass level besides effective communication with children, educating them about the significance of nature conservation.—APP
