Sana excels as Karachi reach final

KARACHI, March 26: Skipper Sana Mir produced a brilliant all-round show as Karachi entered the final of Triangular Series at the National Women’s cricket championship, trouncing Islamabad by 117 runs at the Rawalpindi Stadium on Monday.

Batting first, Karachi posted 231-9 in the stipulated 50 overs. Nain Abedi made 61 while Sana scored 53. Romana Arshad (22) was the other notable scorer in the Karachi innings that also included 74 extras.

In reply, Islamabad were bundled out for only 114 in 28.5 overs, thanks to a superb five-wicket haul by Sana who conceded only 20 runs.
