NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, March 22: Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz chairman Basheer Khan Qureshi has said that Sindh is rich in natural resources and has two seaports but four million educated Sindhis are still jobless.
The JSQM leader was leading a "Paigham-e-Sindh" caravan that began from Sukkur and after a four-day journey reached Halani on Thursday.
Addressing the gathering, Mr Qureshi said Sindh’s wealth was being taken away by Punjab which, being a big province, was exploiting the smaller provinces.
The JSQM chief said that seaports were in Sindh but tax was being collected in Lahore. He said the law and order situation in Sindh was deteriorating. He demanded the release of JSQM leaders Dr Safdar Sarki, Asif Baladi and activists arrested from Balochistan.
Mr Qureshi said that their struggle was not for power but for the people of Sindh and their demands.
Thousands of people from Halani, Lakha road, Khan Wahan, Mohbat Dero and surrounding areas welcomed the caravan in Halani.
The Paigham-e-Sindh caravan will reach Naushahro Feroze on Friday.
NAWAZ KHUSK REMEMMBERED: A conference to mark the death anniversary the slain public servant, Mohammad Nawaz Khushik, was held in Naushahro Feroze on Thursday.
The conference was organised by the district chapter of Sindhi Adabi Sangat. It was attended by poets and writers from different parts of Sindh.
A postgraduate in English literature, Mohammad Nawaz Khushik was gunned down by unidentified armed men in Karachi, where he was posted as SDM.
