KARACHI, March 22: The power and desalination plant of Defence Housing Authority (DHA) will become operational in the next couple of months. Administrator DHA Brigadier Kamran Aziz Qazi, said this to a delegation.

The administrator said that the plant would provide three million gallons of water daily, besides 84 megawatts of electricity.

Brigadier Qazi informed the delegation that renovation and refurbishment work of the entire civic infrastructure of DHA Phase IV would be undertaken in the next financial year.

He said the ongoing works included carpeting, widening and renovation of various roads, redoing of sewerage system, provision of storm water drains, street lights and improvement in garbage collection and sanitation in the area.—A Reporter
