KARACHI, March 20: The chairman of the Senate's Standing Committee on Defence, Nisar A. Memon, has offered his services in getting FIRs registered especially in cases of child and women abuse and their exploitation after receiving complaints that the police were hesitant to register such cases.

“As a senator, I offer my help. I will be personally involved in getting such FIRs registered. Please inform me about the cases which need to be duly publicised and pursued,” the senator asked officials of the Working Women Support Centre and the Madadgar Helpline during his visit to their offices on Monday afternoon. — APP
