LAHORE, March 19: The driver of the police armoured vehicle which entered the Lahore High Court premises on Saturday during a lawyers-police clash was suspended from service for misuse of authority on Monday. Police officials said Iqtadarul Husnain had been suspended by the SP (headquarters) for driving the vehicle into the LHC building without the permission of the officer in charge. They claimed that the senior police officers took strict notice of the situation and directed the driver to come out of the court premises immediately. A disciplinary action has been ordered into the matter.
