Bangladesh beat India by 5 wickets in their Group B match at port of Spain, Trinidad, on Saturday. Scores India 191 (49.3 overs) Bangladesh 192 for 5. Pakistan were facing shock World Cup elimination after Ireland’s part-timers bowled them out for just 132 after 45.3 overs in a crucial Group D match at Kingston, Jamaica.

Ireland were 72-4 after 25 overs at 2am.

Pakistan needed to win this game after losing to hosts West Indies in their opening match in a Group D which also includes Zimbabwe.

The Irish went into the match having clinched a point from their first game with a thrilling last ball tie against Zimbabwe.—Reuters
