LAHORE, March 17: Hafiz Irfan of Lahore has qualified for semi-finals of the boys’ under-16 event in the National Junior badminton championships by defeating Adil of the NWFP 21-5, 21-7 in a quarter-final at the Iqbal Park Sports Complex on Saturday.

In girls’ U-16 quarter-finals, Monisha of Sindh outclassed Faryal Shahzad of the same province 21-8, 21-9.

Girls’ U-19 quarter-finals and boy’s U-19 pre-quarter-finals were also played.

The semi-finals were scheduled to be played on Saturday night with the final on Sunday (today).
